Great trip on the the Brew & Choo. A good craft beer from Carolina Brewing and a train ride but what made it nicer was being stuck on a train for an hour catching up our recently graduated daughter who come back to town. It was good times.

My 6 year old and I drove from North Raleigh on Monday because NHVR was listed as open only to get to a locked gate just after 3pm. I tried calling the number only to be on hold forever with nobody answering. Update your hours and answer your phone or at least don't put people on hold when no one is there to answer. Not a good first impression.

Such a fun activity with a small child. The train was open and spacious and went pretty slow. We happened to go on a brutally hot day, but most areas had plenty of shade.

There is a model train layout in front of the ticket office with two model trains running.
Beer is permitted on the train, but only beer purchased from our beer vendor during a Brew and Choo event. We have such an event this Saturday. Check our website at www.triangletrain.com for more information and to purchase tickets.

Nothing. It's free to walk around, you pay for the train rides down their line and back.

The only way on the train is up steps.. I don't think it's very 'walker' friendly
12 for adults, 7 for kids, a few bucks more (2 and change) each for fees. Ride lasts an hour.
I would call to confirm, but I believe they have the room to accommodate a few.
