We came to the area for the weekend for a quick getaway. Luckily we stopped in at the Hotel for an afternoon beer. The staff was friendly and service was very good. They showed us The evening dinner special, haddock homemade mac & cheese and stewed tomatoes. We made a reservation (you don’t need but recommend to be safe). We ordered The haddock special, which can be prepared in three different ways. The food came out hot and the portions are very large. The haddock filet was prepared perfectly, The stewed tomatoes and mac & cheese are obviously homemade. The stewed tomato sauce is thicker and sweet and the best stewed tomatoes I’ve ever had in my life. They have a large selection of beer to accompany your meal. We will certainly be coming back to the Mifflinburg Hotel and Scarlet D Tavern and suggest that you come in as well.

Tried to get food but the kitchen was closed. Got a beer and ran. Haven't been here since my first life crisis. It's a nice place for solemn introspection.

Scarlet D is an okay little bar to visit, but has been completely outshined by the Rusty Rail Brewing Company down the street. They have a pretty standard offerings on tap, and the food isn't too bad, but the pricing is a bit ridiculous. Due to the pandemic, friends and I decided to stop and purchase a six pack rather than sitting in, and instead of being charged a price for a six pack, the bartender charged by the bottle, turning an $8 six pack of Angry Orchard into a $16-$17 purchase, which is far too steep.
