Omygoodness! This petting zoo was so much fun! We got lucky and visited during first responder days, so the price was just right! We took the grandsons and my son and his girlfriend, this is a place that can be enjoyed by all ages! So many animals to pet and love on! Reptiles, deer, monkeys...you name it and it is there! The bird house was so much fun, but beware...the birds will perch on your shoulder, hair or whatever, so if you have a fear of birds, enjoy the view from the outside! For Fyi...you do need to purchase food for the animals, if you choose, and grab some honey before you leave, it is amazing!!

Not open on Sundays :(
To be honest not sure you would have to call them or go there or look on there web site or something
You can order ahead and you can buy there
Call bee city or go to LowcountryBeeKeepers.org and someone will help you out.
Yes, it is on the ground so a jogging stroller with big wheels is better but a normal stroller will be fine
Wednesday to Sunday I believe
I'm not sure, I don't remember the days and hours of operation. They do have a website Bee City should bring it up. Cottageville sc
Well we obviously love animals. And are happy to see people enjoy our animals as well as their own. We have a lot of rescue animals and animals that don’t understand that the dogs are not here to hurt them. There is a rule written for specific situations like ours. It describes it best. At a zoo service animals can be restricted from areas where animals on display are natural prey or natural predators of dogs, where the presence of a dog would be disruptive, causing the displayed animals to behave aggressively or become agitated. That extremely limits the areas in which we can allow dogs. Sorry for the inconvenience; But I hope that explains our situation. Thank you Bee City Zoo
I'd call as the reason for the dogs visit may be important to their decision on allowing it.
They are closed Monday and Tuesday. Open until 6 pm the rest of the days. I think open at 11.
There were no restrictions when we went.
Bee city is open Friday after Thanksgiving.
Yes
They have some coin machines but that is for fish you can not bring the food in they make you buy the food you really need to see the animals the birds are so much fun
It looks like admission is $12/person on the website. I can't remember if they have a "child's rate" or not. I'm pretty sure we paid $12/person.
Great place to visit
Food for your own pet is allowed but no outside food for the animals in the park. I also found out that you can bring in your parakeets and release them into the aviary, if you're looking to relocate your keets. Nice place to spend an afternoon.
Pure, raw honey with no additives!
I just saw your question. We will not be open on July 4th. We will be open on the 3rd and the 5th. We are going to let the staff celebrate with their families on the Forth.
Great place to take the kids and the adult kids with shade trees and air conditioning restaurant also treats to feed the animals for a small $$ bring the camera with plenty of film. Has great honey get some before leave.
The website says no (holiday hours). That's too bad, would be great for tomorrow (except the heat). I believe mostly for school trips during the week. Will be open next weekend! Good luck Rachel 👋🏽
It is $12 for children and adults over the age of 2 years of age. To feed the animals it cost $7 and they give you three different types of food. I visited last weekend as far as I know this is the most recent price.
Actually they still have many hives that produces the honey from the city. Scott would be more than glad to direct you if you were interested in an adult class.
Its $9 a person and kids 2 and under are free. Worth every penny
9 to 6
If there's no one there in the reptile area, you can ask other workers when he'll be back. I've handled a snake, a baby gator, and a tarantula there before.
Fridays and Saturdays we handle reptiles; although we never guarantee handling. (it all depends on the situation and how the reptiles are feeling at the time).
I'm not sure, you should call in advance.
They change, call or check their website before your visit.
We are open Fridays and Saturdays all year. We do not open on Sundays or Mondays. We schedule field trips throughout the week. (appointment only) June July and August we open to the public Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 9 to 5 the cafe stops serving at 2. Regular hour friday and saturday 9 to 6, the cafe stops serving at 5. We look forward to your visit! Thanks, Bee City
