We lost our wonderful lab of 14 yrs this year. To say we are crushed is putting it mildly. We finally have reached out to a breeder and I am amazed at the quick response after completing the application. Just had a nice detailed conversation with the breeder and was very impressed. I currently have a Yellow Labrador that's now 12 years of age and still doing well but showing his age. When the time comes and I hope not for a long time, but when I want another puppy it will be from this breeder.

Our Chocolate 85 pound Tru Heart Male puppy is now one year old. Hershey has become very well mannered, loving, and responds to verbal requests without hesitation. He is our fourth lab over many years and although they were all smart and loving, Hershey excels in every way. He understands a wide variety of verbal commands, sit-down-stay come-retrieve one of six named toys-Go find mommy or daddy-left paw or right paw hand shake and is now heals and sits on leash walks . Hershey may have his name changed to Houdini because he has learned to open every door in our home without a bolt that he can't reach.. When he is let out to do his business he lets himself back in and we are teaching him to push the door close with his nose.. Although he has the energy of a very healthy puppy, he has also developed the maturity and judgment of an older well mannered boy . He enjoys watching car chases and elephants on TV staying engaged until the program goes to a commercial. When he wants attention and I am on the computer Hershey comes along side me and puts his head under the mouse lifting it up gently and gets attention. I must say that outstanding breeding produces amazing results. Hershey is a wonderful addition to our family. Thanks Terry and Susan !

Tru-Heart Labradors believes that Labrador Retrievers come in three colors only - chocolate, yellow, and black. Silver "labs" carry a dilute gene that is not inherent to the Labrador Retriever. It is our belief that this dilute gene is from interbreeding with Weimeraners.
