I specifically asked for Freon to be put in my A/C unit. The receptionist told me they can do it and will send a tech out tomorrow between 11-2pm. There will also be a $59 service fee for the appointment/service charge. Low and behold the tech comes and confirms from me there is a leak in the system hence the reason for the Freon. So he can't put in the Freon unless the repair is done. Well don't you think you should tell me that before I decide to have your tech come out? I would have saved the $59 because I can't fix the unit it's expensive. I understand there are laws in place so explain that over the phone. Sir if there is a leak you will have to repair it we can't just fill it up. Oh OK, well I'm broke so I can't do that now. See how easy that was. And it would have saved me $59.

Clint, the technician who came to check my a/c was very professional, on time, thorough, polite, and gave my husband and I several options regarding our a/c. One thing we really liked was the different options and no high pressure sales pitch. We highly recommend Sunrise Heat & Air, and will be using them for all of our a/c needs.

Why does my AC blow hot air?

Deena Court | Sep 9, 2020
Sunrise Heat & Air | Sep 9, 2020

Hi Deena, There are many reasons your AC could be blowing hot air. Aside from the heat accidentally being turned on, here are a few things to check: - The coils need cleaning, you can call us or even check out youtube for some DIY cleaning methods. - The system is frozen, which can happen from turning the temperature too low too quick. Turn your system off and turn the fan on until the compressor (AC unit) is free of ice. It's safe to turn it back on at a higher temperature immediately after the ice is gone. - Refrigerant is low, often requires a tech to check for leaks and fill up refrigerant. - You may have an electrical issue, although this is a less common cause, it's worth mentioning because it could be a sign of a larger safety hazard. Let us know if you need help with your system. No one should suffer through the Florida heat with a broken AC!

How can I tell if my AC needs to be replaced vs repaired?

Lorna Swett | Sep 9, 2020
Sunrise Heat & Air | Sep 9, 2020

Hello Lorna, it honestly depends on the issue the system is having. Sometimes people think they need a new AC system and it ends up being an easy inexpensive fix. Other times the issue may call for a total replacement. The best thing to do is call a licensed, insured technician out to evaluate the problem. Our technicians are readily available to visit your home and inspect your system. They take photos during the process to show you the issues and give you options on how fix what is going on. No one in Florida should go without AC. This is why we offer financing options and payment options to all our customers.
