The worst hospital I have ever been to. The fact that this hospital is still open and operating in massachusetts where there are so many better efficient hospitals is ridiculous. I was brought in by an ambulance for intense chest pains just to be sent to the waiting room with the other patients that casually drove there. Because the nurses assumed it was an anxiety attack? I sat in an ambulance that had to siren its way through the city for an anxiety attack? Are you guys serious? I could have had a heart attack in the waiting room and they would still make you sit there and wait. After long waiting and complaining and talking to a manager….. I was finally given an ekg and had blood drawn, but honestly this hospital is horrible to say the least. Horrible to their minor patients and even more horrible to emergency patients. Third world countries have better hospital services than this and that’s very sad to say for a wealthy city like Melrose. I feel so extremely bad for people who don’t have access to places like MGH because nobody deserves negligence when it comes to their health. They made a GROWN WOMAN leave screaming and crying due to their negligence. I will be reporting them to mass gov. Do not go here.

Came in yo the ER at 3:00 am to be seen completely empty waiting room I sat there for over 2 hours waiting to be called. There were no emergency vehicles coming in so I know that’s not the reason. It was completely ridiculous to have someone wait that long when clearly no one else was waiting or coming into the building! They don’t update you or let you know,there was no communication! It makes someone like myself feel like either the hospital is very very understaffed and they don’t have control over a very simple walk in or maybe they aren’t doing there job correctly therefore people are waiting an extremely long wait time. It was completely unnecessary.

To the best of my knowledge they end at 9:00 PM although MW Hospital never seems to be in any rush to encourage visitors to leave.

Anytime. Go to the front desk and explain what you need. It may be a while before you are seen but they do have an "emergency psychiatric unit" that's available 7/24.

There is! Call the main number and ask for the office of the wellness center.
They never close, as for "labs" that would be decided by your MD regarding the specific labs you are concerned with.
