I needed to get my daughter and I registered as a patient. I have extreme chronic health issues that causes a lot of pain and has seriously effected my ability to function. I figured it wouldn't hurt to just swing in and possibly just pick up the paper work I would need to fill out. The front desk clerk was condescending, rude, and short with me. I was quiet and patient with her even when she established a new patient right in front of me and even gave him a same day appointment. I had no problem with that because he came in with an already established patient. It wasn't until she finally addressed me when another patient walked up to get checked out. I understand that it was nearing lunch time but the way she became very condescending to me when I asked her if it would be easier if I filled out the paper work online or went to the Ocala office was uncalled for. I told her she was rude and it really was rude establishing a new patient just because he was with an already established patient. My daughter and I need healthcare so she can return to school and so I can eventually go back to work. I've been living with disabling pains in my stomach and I have extreme nerve damage from being impaled. I felt discriminated against for not having insurance and being poor based off the way she selected a new patient. On top of that, they need to take that sign down that states: healthcare for adults and children because they don't see kids. If today wasn't a good day, she could have just said that. I left crying because I wasted time I could have used to go to the Ocala office. One last thing, I didn't call today because my service has been terrible living in Dunnellon... That remark was also uncalled for. I understand you're not a walk in clinic but you could have at least taken the 5 minutes to schedule a time or just prep the paperwork and I would have filled it out and dropped it off.

Love Elizabeth Marks DeMartino ARNP. Great with my teenagers, patient, takes the time to go over everything. Unfortunately she is retiring next week.

I had Dr Gilbert place diagnosed problems that I was never tested for or confirmed, which cost me an accident settlement. There were other things he placed in his notes but we never talked about the things. I had referrals twice and they never followed thru to give me those referrals since 2018. I go there due to income. So when he left and they gave me Dr Woods, I told her that she really needed to check if test were run to see if patients really had the diagnose of problems that Dr Gilbert claimed. I told her I would give one more chance at the office however it did not mean I still would not file a lawsuit against Gilbert. She chose to keep me on as a patient, again I asked for this referral, I have called several times about it since appointment about 6 weeks ago, but today is the first day I was told no referral was put in.... how can one office be so incompetent??? How can someones health be good when things like this happen??? Does anyway want to fix this??? I called 4/13/22 because my blood pressure meds were raised and I was having some issues but again they do not care about their patients to call back. Smh... Called back on 4/14. Asked if Dr was going to call about reactions to meds. That I was still short of breath and felt like I was drowning... they made me an appointment for next Thursday. Guess ER here I come. Wonder if the Drs know that people who answer phones are blowing of their patients??
