We had a great experience at this location thanks to Shelly and the manager (didn't catch her name). Thank you so much! We appreciate all of your help!

Efficient and pleasant to work with. Ready set up on line to reserve a spot, we were taken early to renew a license. Five minutes is all it took with the paperwork filled out on line.

The level of service at our registry is at an all time low. Not only are the hours limited, the services limited and you need an appointment to go there, there is an unwritten rule that every customer needs to come back a minimum of 3 times to satisfy the paperwork. They "didn't like" the date on a loan contract for paperwork. I guess it can't be more than 60 days old. The expired license due to COVID (renewed in April) is no longer any good - the reason for the visit. You make another date and they find another document they don't like. Something has to be done.... this is not right.....

I had excellent service, when I went in to do my road test. The examiner was professional, kind and even stayed to chat with me for a little while after the test. I have no complaints and for something that can be very stressful, the examiner made me feel confident and calm throughout the test. Thank you to the examiner today and I highly recommend this place to take your road test or if you need anything else road related. Good Luck and safe driving!

If you are exchanging old plates for new like the old MA green letters for new red ones, then no. If you are missing plates, and just need new ones then there is a cost.
Yes
If you mean a real ID drivers license you'll need a certified birth certificate or valid U.S. passport, SS card or W2/1099 and 2 proofs of your current Mass. address such as electric bill, cable bill, cell phone etc etc. Those bill have to be within the last 60 days.
$17 on what?! The transactions you can do online are the same price as in the registry minus the possible service fees online if applicable.
Mass ID is $25
How do I renew my drivers license? What do I need to bring with me
Operating under the influence
No
While it is technically against the law certain junk yards and / or tow truck drivers will show you how it’s done. Shame on them!!
Only if you are handicapped.
You can walk in and wait. Make sure to have a birth certificate. Went last week. Was there about 2 hours.
Has to go online,to make appointment
a few weeks
You need to make an appointment, but if you go to the registry in chickapee ma you can get it done the same day, they will take your documents and call you when they are ready, it only took me 2 hours and then they called me. I just waited in the parking lot. But it was done that day. Hopefully this helps you out Barry.
Only some dmvs are open in the pandemic, and via appointment. Worcester for example.
Yes you need a appointment
Yes

Cash, check and CC
If I'm not mistaken you have to compete a form stating you're not the plates owner in order to drop them off. If the plates are already cancelled by the owner you can just fold/break them and throw them away.
Here is the website link. https://www.mass.gov/how-to/apply-for-a-certificate-of-title
The easiest and quickest way to change your address is online. You will need to provide your: Driver’s license or Massachusetts ID card number Last 4 digits of your Social Security Number (SSN) Email address
By law, purchase/lease of a new vehicle requires a new safety/emission inspection and sticker. It is obviously only so Massachusetts can soak more money out of you but that is the requirement, especially if you changed plates. Your inspection sticker is specific to the license plate.
In mass, registrations expire on the last day of the month. If the last number on the plate is a 7, and the sticker is a 19, your registration expires July 31, 2019
It depends what type on license you want to renew to. If you want the Govt really ID you'll need unexpired US passport, SS card or W2/1099 and 2 proofs of your current residence such as utility bill in the last 60 days, your unexpired license could be used for one if it has the correct address. If you just want a standard Massachusetts drivers license a passport is all you'll need, besides the application completed.
They dont take the old one, you can keep that and you will be given a paper copy until the hard copy plastic one arrives in the mail
You should have received an email confirmation with the time and place on it.
The route is at the examiner's discretion.
Not until you arrive and check in
If you mean a W2 or 1099 then yes as long as it has your full SS# on it and it is the most recent one.
No, excise tax must be paid at the town/city hall of the town/city that issued the the tax, or that town/cities assigned tax collector.
