Very welcoming parish. Small church but the atmosphere was great. The priest was funny and made you feel a part of the community. First time there but will definitely be back.

Really tried to like this parish. I have been here three times since moving to the area. The first time was fine, everyone was friendly and welcoming but I prefer more a traditional mass. The second time I came was on Easter. I had my 6 month old with me and as soon as I walked in, an usher tried to send me straight into the “cry room” (which is actually labeled “cry room” and should not even be a thing anymore) the first peep she made half way through mass he INSISTED I go into the cry room, which from my experience doesn’t even have an intercom so I could not hear the remainder of Easter Sunday mass. I decided to try a different parish after that. I came back six months later out of convenience and my daughter, who is one now, got a little bored during the homily. She was not crying or being “loud” so I went to the back to stand with her while I continued to listen like I do at every other church we attend. Not two minutes later, again I was told I should go into the “cry room.” Again my child was not crying or even being loud. Ultimately, I left before mass was over because I felt unwelcome. Every time I’ve come I have not seen a single other child. This parish is clearly not family friendly, and it shows from the mostly empty parking lot and lack of young people. We have learned over the last decade or two to go back to what mass should really be and how it should welcome all. “Let the children come to me!” NEVER have I been made to feel so unwelcome in a Catholic Church as I do here, all because I want my daughter to learn the importance of attending Sunday mass. I am a 31 year old life long Catholic who has studied Catholic theology, taught religious education, and in the past been FULLY involved in my home parish. 3rd time here has convinced me that this parish is not home.
