I went to Camp Winnekeag from 2003-2008 so it has been a long time and my review is based on those years, but I was just thinking about how meaningful this place was to me and how much it shaped the person I am. After looking on Instagram, it seems like the campโ€™s values havenโ€™t changed at all. This camp was the only place I experienced raw, unfiltered love for Jesus. I guess you could say it was the first place I experienced a charismatic worship experience too (still part of one). I grew up in a legalistic church and Winnekeag was all but that. The staff I encountered and the guest speakers had some of the wildest testimonies Iโ€™ve ever heard. Yet those are the people Jesus came for... the broken. Growing up in the church I did, I always saw โ€œpicture perfectโ€ Christians that judged you if you werenโ€™t the same (even if they werenโ€™t), but not the people who were at Winnekeag. If the staff is anything like it was (and I went through 2 leadership changes but yet the values of the staff remained the same), then this camp is just as fantastic as it once was. I can honestly say I probably would have lost faith in Christ permanently, and at a young age, if it werenโ€™t for this camp.

When the organizers of the event keep faith and the biblical values in mind, the mission is accomplished, as this is a very appropriate place surrounded by nature, to re-invogorate and motivate one another, spiritually, emotionally and physically, whatever the age group might be. The kitchen staff is friendly and does a great job too!

Camp Winnekeag holds so many enriching memories for me. My family would camp there in the winter and summer. Winter camping was gorgeous and the best for me. We ice skated, hiked, and some winters, rode horseback through the trails. The lodge had a fireplace that was comforting and fun to be after a day of playing around in the snow. I love this place!

No, due to Covid-19 they are not having Camp again this year. Really bummed about it, but not as much as my kids!

Is it a place where people can go fishing no loud parties or people just a peaceful place to go do you have to be a member cost if any and is fishing license required

You don't have to be a member to go. It can be loud in the summer (it's a youth camp) but it's certainly peaceful during the off season. You can go and rent a cabin but there's no place kitchen in the cabins. It's more for larger groups. You could probably ask for permission to fish there but a license is always required.
