What an amazing experience at Hide-a-away. This was our first family vacation in 3 years, and it was beyond what we could have hoped for. We stayed in the Lakefront cabin, which is beautiful. My wife and I both wished we could have taken it home with us. Our 7 y/o son had a blast. We kayaked every day, leaving the kayaks right at the dock steps away from the cabin. This place is also centrally located to everything we wanted to do, which was hike. We went 2 weeks before the summer rush, which could have contributed to why we loved it so much. It felt like our private getaway. Kelly is also so kind and helpful. The whole staff is nice. We can't wait to go back next year. Thank you to everyone at Get-a-away!

My family had the best time at Hide-A-Way Cottages! It is a magical hidden gem in the Adirondacks. The cottages are very clean. They have an assortment of water crafts to use. A small playground. A beach on beautiful Lake Vanere. Outdoor ping pong, volleyball, badmitten and children's toys. Kelly is amazing and made us feel right at home. We have made new friends and will be going up there as much as possible.

My cabin was dirty. Coffee pot had grounds in it. Silverware drawer had spider webs in them. Some of the pans were not washed. Bedding had dead spiders in them. I spent 4 hours on the first day cleaning. Chipmunks entered the cabin through holes in the door frame. When I complained, the office staff told me how they were getting in. The beach was ok for the kids. Definitely would not go back. It is telling that one year later the owners have not responded to our complaints. They only give responses to five star reviews

My family and I had the most amazing vacation, all thanks to the owners and employees of Hide-A-Way. From the beginning, during our check-in, we were greeted by the owner, and were basically treated like friends or family. The cabin was exactly what I wanted and expected! My idea of a relaxing vacation, a rustic cabin, in a quiet location, next to the water. That’s exactly what we got! All of our neighborhoods during the week we were there were very friendly, wonderful people. And we can’t forget about the cleaning and maintenance crew. Absolutely wonderful people. Every day, everyone went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our stay. Thank you all so very much, and we can’t wait to see all of you again soon!
