INCREDIBLE! I come here every week. The soups are filling and really like their name suggests, made from "Scratch". Recommend to anyone in the area who wants a no frills delicious lunch. I am pretty sure they put serotonin in their soups, because they are pure bliss.

Loved this tiny little place. Food was delicous and unique. It is very cold inside, so dress warm, and call ahead about the wait ..not many tables. In more "comfortable"/warm weather, there are also tables outside in a clear plastic tent. They are known for the grilled cheese, but there are many other interesting choices like poutine, soup, breakfast sandwiches, burgers etc.We shared 2 lunch combos...best deal. Includes good sized cup of homemade soup, your choice of a full grilled cheese w choice of bread, spud nuggets, a drink and a large cookie. We chose the short rib grilled cheese and duck confit grilled cheese sandwiches, Italian wedding soups, strawberry soda and apple juice, a chocolate chip cookie and a peanutbutter cookie. So yummy. Gotta' go. A must-try anytime, but especially if u love a grilled cheese and soup on a cold wintry day.

Great place for breakfast! The gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches were amazing, and the spud nuggets are a nice side dish to dip with ketchup. I added a bit of salt for taste. They were nice and crispy! Also, the tomato bisque was very delicious, better than most that I’ve had. Would recommend for any staying in Newport to stop by and try their grilled cheese!
