Went here with my granddaughters kindergarten class. We had a great time. Scavenger hunt was fun, watching some of the sea creatures getting fed was fun. The kids loved it.

Absolutely deplorable conditions for the ferret at this aquarium. I’m not sure why there even is a ferret at an aquarium. (He was sleeping in the dirty towel) We demanded explanation and it was brushed off, I even offered to adopt this poor baby. They said no, he will live there until he dies. Ferrets require 4-6+ hours out of cage time every single day, should rarely be kept solo and require MUCH more enrichment inside their cage (better yet, not kept as a caged pet at all). Even the rodent bottle provided for this ferret is not appropriate for ferrets, bottles chip teeth and are difficult for a ferret to get enough water they need. This ferret has been kept like this for years. I’m a seasoned ferret owner and understand not all can adhere to my standards but this is without a doubt the worst conditions I have seen for a ferret in my years of rescuing ferrets. I regret paying for this experience and please- if you care about animals do not support this establishment. EDIT: because I can’t figure out how to reply to the owner’s reply. I simply wrote this review (as I am entitled to) and notified the local ferret rescue so they were aware. That’s it. I didn’t tell people to write additional reviews, didn’t post to ferret groups etc. People did so on their own accord. Regardless, the owner’s dismissive and combative demeanor to genuine concerns is alarming. I feel for all the animals under his care. As an animal care professional with over 16 years under her belt, I’m ashamed of the example this establishment sets for the younger generations.

I very much enjoyed Biomes. It was an interesting spread of both local and common aquarium species. I particularly enjoyed the touch-tanks, and most (about 95%) of the fish seemed happy and healthy. My only complaint is in relation to some of the tanks. I do think that some of the animals are in enclosures too small, or some of the schooling fish that are housed alone might like some friends. Though, when housing many animals, it is very difficult to keep all needs met. I have seen much worse, and for a place like this I my expectations were more than exceeded.

This is an awesome lil live aquarium where your lil ones will have a great time actually petting sharks, stingrays, and other aquatic creatures. And a great big turtle. Plenty of exciting fish, even Nemo and of course Dory. There are games to play and a lil gift shop too. We brought the grandkids and they absolutely loved it.

Is this a good place for 10-11 year olds? Pictures show a lot of preschool aged things.

If they are into Marine life, I think they would enjoy it. There are quite a few touch tanks that are interesting, but you may get through the whole thing really quickly because it's not that big (I feel like the younger children take a lot more time at each tank).
