This shouldn't say Middletown housing authority because I live in PA and I am on housing and their facility is called Wayne county housing authority and they do not house you but give out housing vouchers to apply for subsided housing and they pay for partial of your rent so when I called them to switch my voucher over they gave me a run around and couldn't even explain to me that they are not a facility that does that I had to find out the hard way it's not complicated to explain to people when they call more about your business.

I was a tenant there for 25 years and I moved out in 2019. There was a time when drugs were ruining the area but since the renovations took place, the housing authority stepped up their game. It was a pleasure to live there. All complaints to mgmt were taken care off. They have twice yearly senior lunches, both for thanksgiving and the summer bbq. The maintenance staff and the admin staff are professional. If you call ask for Jackie or Lori. They treat you like family. As a tenant, you can have your own bbq grill, your own patio set and even a small wading pool for your kids. The apartments are big and very warm. You always see maintenance cleaning around the grounds and it's good to know that they enforce the rules and regulations. The negatives include the parking, not enough spaces and you get towed 24/7. They are closed on weekends. I wish they could have at least one night were they stay open until 5pm. You can only have two air condtioning units. If I return to NY to live, I will definitely put in another application.

Women that answer the phone was very unprofessional and wasn’t clear in describing the type of business they run for seniors! ( even tell me anything that the community has to offer) Due to the fact there is nothing available ( no vacancies) she didn’t even explain what the development offers or benefits for seniors to want to go even live at this place !! How would she expect seniors to want to feel comfortable to want to live there and there is no show apartment or good customer service!!!!! Don’t call not recommend!!!!
