Beware ! No ventilation, very dirty and messy watch your step !!! Oh my goodness I used to come here as a teenager and the staff is always very nice and it's actually the same staff...so this has NOTHING to do with them... as for the store and safety it is absolutely atrocious in there and disorganized and packed wall-to-wall it's actually hard to describe the filth that I saw that was being sold ! About 97 percent of it should have just been in the garbage or dumpsters not donated (ie. Gently used...) ... there is no room for displaying or walking safely in and out. Broken plates with 4.99 stickers on them things with broken handles, missing parts, filthy scratched plastic for $7... handbags that have been worn to the Bone and peeling for $18.99... over priced books... Like I'm not even joking I was afraid that I was going to fall or faint as I browsed the isles and the glass wear section..no ventilation!!!! Beware .... you're like shoulder-to-shoulder with people. I hope it gets better I'm sorry I had to leave this review! I used to love it here :(

I went shopping Saturday, and while I was going through the isles on the shirts, I almost slipped on a bunch of hangers. So I brushed them away under the hanged clothes with my foot, clearing the pass way so no one will accidentally slip on them. The Working lady (Carmen) in front of me suddenly said “Thats not helping mam’” but since I went back immediately to my shopping I didn’t noticed she was speaking to me. Than she stood across from me and said once again loudly “‘mam thats not helping, you kicking it, is not helping” Now that really upset me, and my mistake for responding rudely but i’ll explain why it upset me, I said “Funny, I didn’t came to help, but to shop” with that she left angrily saying how disgusting my attitude was. Now for the reason I got really upset was that I have worked in costumer service, as a hostess, waitress, cashier and retail. So I have dealt with many many people. If you know, you know. So whenever I go shopping I always pick up after myself, hang the barely-hanging-by-one-shoulder-shirt back, and have never once heard a thank you back. But it takes one time, I don’t feel like picking 7 hangers on the floor, that I didn’t even dropped, made me slip….I get to be treated like a ‘disgusting’ costumer. Its not a very nice experience, you can not be talking to people like you own the place. Have respect for others, people came to do some shopping not your job.

Great place to donate and find all kinds of stuff! It is a bit cramped because of all the stuff. But it is still an interesting place to visit

The worst thrift store ever !!!People there don't care about customers.Enen thought I like this store in others locations of the city ,but there ...I felt abusive. Where is clothes for kids they leave always so many shopping strollers for no one to pass, they totally keep this store unorganized! If u find a bag for the color tag 99 cent they don't sell it like that ,it's their regulations! The cashier is very rude and impolite ,u are just a trash for her !I will tell you yesterday was just a Wednesday, and with color teg for 99 cent ,in all store I found just 4!And I'm professional thrift shopper .You should just seethe pale of the bikes they did in the middle of the store, not wisely stored,a pale,I'm pregnant and almost killed myself there !!!And it's not the first time like that in the store , employees don't really care if the clothes are on the floor with hangers ,it's impossible to pass .Very rude and the worst army salvation store ever !!!You feel there like inside donation box on the road !And employers with their attitude ,come on in the middle they just leave brooms and dust pans, and plus I was with baby stroller and my son ,it was almost impossible challenge to walk through!!!I want to say ,I went to many army salvation stores in the strates in the NYC Woodside the worst !!!!

The colored tags are for clothes and domestics (blankets, sheets etc)... shoes and purses are always half off from the price thats written..example: purse has $14.99 its half off..the red tags are always Zara that tag is never on sale..plus this is the only salvation army in Queens...
