I went on a Sunday night, and the crowd was big but fun. We had to wait 15-20 minutes for a table, but we had beers at the bar while waiting, so it wasn't a huge detraction really. The beers were great and local, the food (burgers) were creative and tasty, and the service was pretty good despite how slammed they were. I didn't have any whiskey there, but their selection was impressive. All in all, it was a good experience for a fair price.

While in Portsmouth, we had heard great things about The Goat and decided to stop in for dinner. Loved the vibe, and they were able to seat our party of 5 right away. The food was all pretty tasty! Great cornbread, really cheesy mac, and perfectly cooked burgers. The cookie skillet was a great way to end the night.

We went here for brunch while on a short vacation and liked it so much that we went back the next day and ordered the same thing again. I had the Brisket BBQ omelet with the Fools Gold mimosa (St. Patrick's Day special). My wife had the Goat Hash Special with the Boozy Shamrock Shake (St. Patrick's Day special). On the first day we shared the Goat-Cane drink, which was huge! It was $35, but definitely worth it. All around, the food was amazing, service was good, and we had a great time!

I've been to the Goat in Hampton Beach before but this was my first time for brunch in Portsmouth. The mimosas and tots are absolutely awesome! A definite must. I ordered the goat steak tacos with tots and sweet potatoes. The tacos were okay, kind of a sweet(?) marinade I think but overall okay. Service and environment was great.

When I was there it was a younger crowd, also music was quite loud making it hard to talk/hear. But the food is delish and I'd go again for that yummy GOAT sauce!!!

No. But it's a Patriots bar.
Not sure if they do or not, but the food is really great and great service.

To some extent, yes. But it is not a dedicated spot for the enlisted.
I drove here for brunch with family once. Great vibe and atmosphere. From what I can recall, Court St. was really close. Though it could depend on where on Court you're referring to.
