While you don’t need an appointment at our urgent care and walk-in locations, you have the option of scheduling your visit online. You can select a time in the next 24 hours at a location that’s close to you, then wait in the comfort of your home.

Typically an urgent care visit will cost less than an ER visit, but this may depend on many factors, such as insurance coverage and/or the services required to address your health needs. Your co-pay and out-of-pocket costs at an urgent care clinic are typically much less than what you are charged at the emergency room.

Ascension urgent care teams treat common, non life-threatening, minor illnesses and injuries, including allergies, fever, severe sore throat, allergic reactions, asthma, cuts, back pain, minor burns and rash, bug and animal bites, cold and flu symptoms, sinus pain and ear infections, headaches, muscle sprains, strains and swollen joints, strep throat, pink eye, and UTI (urinary tract infections).

Our urgent care teams are comprised of doctors, APRNs (advanced practice registered nurses), nurse practitioners and nurses.

When you need care more immediately and your regular doctor isn’t available, you may be trying to decide between urgent care or an emergency room. For life-threatening emergencies and serious illness or injury, such as shortness of breath, chest pain, open fractures or severe bleeding, go to an emergency room. When you need care for minor illness or injury, such as allergies, fevers, cuts without severe bleeding that may need stitches or a severe sore throat, and your doctor isn’t available, seek urgent care. If you are experiencing a life-threatening emergency, go directly to the ER or dial 9-1-1.
