Small local family owned company. It's always nice to have reliable company's to show up at scheduled time. The technicians are well trained and polite. Prices are reasonable, well below big box companies. Thank you for all the great service you continue to provide to us!

They installed my present AC unit after many years of great service on the original unit which was getting to costly to repair. Service personnel are always on time and honest. Very happy with Florida Comfort.

Excellent service and scheduling process. Tech was courteous, professional and explained everything step by step. I'm glad we chose Florida Comfort when we had the unit installed in the first place.

Comfort Air condition Hvac Company has been our go to heat/ Air company to call! Very professional technicians. Joe D. & Antony L. Are very qualified technicians and are an asset to Comfort Air Condition inc . They are highly trained individuals who go above and beyond other companies I know and have the knowledge it takes to be an asset to their company. I owned my own HVAC & Gas appliance company and I know what you need to know to troubleshoot and repair, install and cleanup and explain what it is they are doing and the reasons why and what they look for should they find problems. They did all of that, which is what I expect and expected from my techs in the 80's and early 90's ! Best of luck to Joe & Anthony in their endeavors and to the company for recognizing great Techinians. Sincerely, Craig H. North Port

Questions & Answers

Question – How can I reduce my cooling needs?

Keep the blinds and curtains closed, especially on the west and east windows. Don’t set your thermostat too low, usually 78°F is found to be comfortable. You can save even more on your summer cooling bills by using your air conditioning only when you are in the house. If you want the house to be cool when you come home after a hot day, use a set back thermostat to turn on the system half an hour before you expect to arrive. To save energy and money, consider adjusting your thermostat a few degrees before leaving your house. Air conditioners also reduce the humidity by removing water vapor from the air as it is cooled. Some high efficiency units may be necessary in special cases. This potential problem can be avoided by identifying sources of moisture–e.g., clothes dryers, washing machines, showers–and venting them directly outside.

Question – What should my thermostat be set to at night during the cooling season?

Normal temperatures in the summer can fluctuate depending on the region. If the thermostat is set at the desired temperature during the day, consider a 10 degree lower temperature at night. Most automatic thermostats have intelligent recovery which enables the thermostat to lower the temperature gradually, so the night time savings is not lost by manually bringing down the temperature all at once. These programmable thermostats also help to optimize energy savings without sacrificing comfort. If you do not have a programmable thermostat, we strongly suggest you upgrade, as the cost savings can be quite considerable.

Question – How often should I have my equipment serviced?

Heating and Air Conditioning equipment should be serviced at least once a year. The best scenario is to have the heating system checked in the Fall and the air conditioning checked in the Spring.
