Great service for pets, but there is a reason I had to lower the score to a 2 stars. The staff is rude and inconsiderate. I walked in today as with my Yorkie for urgent care or advice, the two ladies at the counter said they were booked, and couldn't see me today. I explained I understood, but I only came because my Yorkie has not eaten for 2 days, and today is the third day, he keeps throwing up and very weak. She said they couldn't help me and to find another location. I asked if she could find out if another Banfield could see him, as I just came from Hilltop Banfield and the vet there had an emergency and had to leave, and they said I had to call myself. A client that was paying told me of a 24 hour emergency pet hospital nearby. I was thanking the lady for being so kind and at least directing me to a place that could help us, and said that that was something the employee's could had help me with instead of telling me that I had to find something on my own, as I was distressed of losing my service dog, and the employee named Elsa or Elba made a disrespectful smirk at me. When I asked her if she thought it was funny that I am trying to find emergency care for my service dog, she told me to leave. I told her I would leave, once the customer gave me the location of the emergency hospital. She just kept running her mouth and telling me to leave and was not considerate of my emergency, nor that the lady was trying to explain the direction to the pet emergency room. There is a reason this Banfield has such a low review, and it is because of heartless and uncaring employees like Elsa or Elba, that should not be working front desk with customers, but is better fitted to work at a horse stable shoveling manure.

First time visited Banfield, I was welcomed by asking to buy a pet insurance, and instead of focusing on my dog’s issue, they just kept promoting the benefit of purchasing an insurance. My dog has a lump on her leg and I just wanted to remove it. I was told that a lab examination is required before the procedure, so I had to pay $350 for the mole extraction and the lab fee. Waited 2 weeks and they called me with the result “the tumor may potentially grow cancerous so it’s best to remove it”, so yeah “maybe” is the answer for $350 payment and 2 weeks of waiting. They said they will call me back for the procedure appointment, and… I’ve been waiting for 3 weeks now without any hear back from the office.

Difficult doctors. Difficult to get appointments. I think they took on care of my dog but it was hard to schedule. My cat will never go back, he was traumatized, unfortunately. They did good work for him and i would go back.

They always take good care of my dad's elderly Chihuahua. They're very gentle and caring with her. Rarely do i have to wait. Highly recommend!

Yes, if you are a first time visitor with that particular pet then stop by the Petsmart for a free office visit coupon. That lowers the overall price significantly.

You can spread the cost of your wellness plan across the 12 months of your annual agreement to make it easier to budget for the essential health care your pet needs. Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.

What is an Optimum Wellness Plan?

Banfield Pet Hospital | Sep 8, 2020

Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).
