I have been take my Mini Goldendoodle here for almost 2 years. I never had any issues until 3 visits ago. They cut my dog’s VERY long eyelashes to the same length as the rest of the hair around her face and didn’t even apologize or offer a discount. In addition to being in my dogs notes, I verbally remind them to not touch her eyelashes every single time I drop her off. They denied that was in her notes so I then forwarded them the initial questionnaire they sent me that included that information. Still no apology. They offered a free hot oil treatment at the next visit. The groomer that had groomed her every time had left, a new person did it, and they never bothered to tell me. They ask you to pay before ever seeing your dog so I had already paid the full price as well as tipped 20%. At the next visit I let them know I wanted to see her before paying. They didn’t do the hot oil treatment and cut her eyelashes AGAIN. They denied that they cut her eyelashes, did not offer a discount, and offered her a free hot oil treatment at the next visit. I have a three strikes and you’re out policy so I decided to give them another chance. Today was the 3rd strike. Again we told them upon drop off to not touch her eyelashes. Again they didn’t do the promised hot oil treatment. Again her eyelashes were cut. They completely denied it and again no apology. I told them it was completely unprofessional to deny it happened, never apologize, and not offer me any discount. After speaking with the manager I was told “I can only offer you a 30% discount since we didn’t do it.” 3 strikes, you’re out. I will never come here again and don’t recommend them.

This was our go to place for dog grooming. But no more! It's gone downhill on my dog's last two visits. The cuts are uneven and they failed to straighten out matted hair. Shampoo also doesn't smell as nice or for as long as it used to. Not to mention my dog now HATES being anywhere near this place. He clearly experienced some trauma. We won't be going back.

Great place! I took my pit bull puppy here to get a bath and they did amazing! She came back to be smelling amazing and she even came back better behaved! They only took about 30-1 hr to clean her, and even gave her a beautiful bandana. I surely will be a regular here.

After going to SEVERAL other groomers since moving to Virginia recently, Pretty Paws has never, never, disappointed me!! Every single time I pick my dog up after grooming, she looks fantastic!!! The “other” dog groom places couldn’t get my Yorkie cut/groom correctly, Petty Paws gets it done right every time! I get my dog groomed about once a month, for about a year now, price is very reasonable for what you get, my Yorkie has a crushed trachea and has breathing problems, they take her anyway, and she, (Lana, 7 yrs. old/about. 6lbs.) loves her cut, she loves the attention, and staying clean, her eyes get clogged with eye googlies (that’s what I call them..)they are tough and crusty and hard to remove, when I pick her up after grooming, I am so pleased so see her beautiful eyes all clean, no googlies!!! You want your dog groomed right!, take them to Pretty Paws!! Love the name too!!! Patricia McCommas
