Historical Mount Dora is the best place in Florida. The little stores have some of the most beautiful things. The spice shop is fantastic. the Christmas decorations at Christmas time is beautiful. you can really tell the mayor and the other City officials of Mount Dora take great pride in their town. Wonderful place!!

Every year on the first weekend of February they have the art festival, and I attended. The parking it's about 10 to 20 dollars, the food it's average, but the art is so great. You will see every style and medium. Jewelry, sculptures, oil, ceramic, pencil, watercolor, natural fibers, tin, etc. If you love art, you should be there. This year they had live music like jazz and classics. Ah and kids games too. People were super nice to us. I loved it.

My husband and I visited Mt. Dora for the first time and absolutely loved it. Small and quaint area with a lot of character and shops. We spent a couple hours walking around and seeing everything. It's a nice place to go to.

Nice little town that was much more than I expected. It has a beautiful little downtown and "main St". I've heard they have canals with 50's looking car boats. The shoppes were kind of pricey but I'm cheap, with that being said the pet store down there was amazing! They also rescue grey hounds. If your there go support this local business!
