I like going here at night to sit on the dock by the water. It's peaceful. 24 hour restrooms on site along with boat ramp.

What's my first time going there absolutely gorgeous. Plenty of easy access to the water if you have a boat. Absolutely stunning skyline

We kayak and paddle board from this location. Protected location easy to launch and retrieve our water-toys here. Parking is ample and some space on the grass (limited) for set-up or breakdown Clean head!

Very well maintained boat ramp. Clean restrooms and pavilion. Small parking lot but otherwise very nice. Would definitely recommend. Met some locals that didn't even know it was here.

If we put kayaks in the water at Higel park and if we paddle into Dona Bay and Roberts Bay - will we be in alligator water? Our small dog loves to kayak with us and he likes to swim from one kayak to another. Are we going to see gators?? Thx

Alligators can be in just about any body of water. Same thing goes with BULL SHARKS, as they can tolerate both fresh and salt water. On the kayak ramp off of Nokomis park, there is a sign that warns of gators. I personally have not seen any gators while fishing in these bays, but i definitely get nervous knowing that there could be some lurking near at any time. I say this not to scare you, but just to let you be aware that there is always a chance of running into one in any body of water.
