My rate is a ZERO. I was denied care for being pregnant. Incredibly unethical. “A patient seeks care, whether for emergency, preventive, or restorative treatment. The dentist refuses treatment solely because the patient is pregnant. The dentist is of the opinion that rendering dental treatment may affect the health of the pregnant woman or fetus, which may result in legal liability. The dentist is misinformed about the guidelines for the treatment of pregnant women and may be placing concerns about liability above the needs of the patient.” “dental treatment during pregnancy is not only safe but also a key to overall health and well-being.” “the dentist is not even engaging with the patient to find out what her needs are. There is an ethical lapse here because of the dentist’s unilateral decision making.” “Principle 2, Nonmaleficence (“do no harm”), is the next to apply. This principle expresses the concept that professionals have a duty to protect the patient from harm. Under this principle, the dentist’s primary obligations include keeping knowledge and skills current… .1 There could be harm done to the patient by refusing to see or treat her while she is pregnant. As stated, oral health care during pregnancy is not only safe but also good for the patient and the fetus. At the same time, oral health is key to overall health and well being. Preventive, diagnostic, and restorative treatment is safe throughout pregnancy and is effective in improving and maintaining oral health. … In addition to providing pregnant women with oral health care, educating them about preventing and treating dental caries is critical, both for women’s own oral health and the future health of their children. Evidence suggests that most infants and young children acquire caries-causing bacteria from their mothers.3 The dentist refusing treatment is not keeping up with current information and thus, arguably, is not keeping his or her skills current. Under Principle 4, Justice (“fairness”), a “dentist has a duty to treat people fairly.”1 The ADA Code goes on to state that “the dentist’s primary obligations include dealing with people justly and delivering dental care without prejudice.”1 The ADA Code becomes even more specific in stating that “dentists shall not refuse to accept patients into their practice or deny dental service to patients because of the patient’s . . . sex.”1 On the basis of this principle, an argument can be made that refusing to treat a pregnant woman would be discriminating against her unjustly and thus disregarding the ADA Code.“ I filed my complaint. They aren’t up to code when it comes to current guidelines and skills in regards to treating pregnant women. The risk of radiation with X-rays is incredibly low and I was more than willing to have a full FMX done, especially since I know I’m having issues with my teeth, I needed more than just a cleaning. I made the front desk aware of my being 8 months pregnant when I scheduled the appointment. I was never told anything then about care. A waste of time, energy and gas still going in and being turned away because the “manager” denied me care because they didn’t want to “hurt the baby” with a full FMX series needing to be done. The ignorance in knowledge is scary. I was denied care and the manager or dentist did not have the decency to come speak to me. This led to emotional distress with me crying in my car and calling my insurance and the board to file a complaint, especially since I did not know that I was gonna be denied care. I completed my dental assisting course recently and I am fully aware of the certain laws, codes of ethics and what care can be offered to pregnant women. I even have my radiology certification for this line of work. I will now have to wait further for care in rewards to the problems with my teeth since appointments are booked out and too close to my due date. I can’t believe the negligence, ignorance or discrimination at this facility. Good luck to those who are pregnant.

First time visit it was excellent staff was very professional, compassionate and understanding. Shay was in the dentist room with me and she took the x-rays and we were having a very nice conversation while waiting for the hygenest to come in. Shay is respectful and pleasant to talk to. The hygenest was very nice and is very gentle cleaning my teeth. My first visit was a great experience I highly would recommend Coast Dental.

I have been there twice and the staff is great and very attentive. I like that they do them work when one person finishes a procedure they go to the other patient and call the other staff to take over and continue but let them know what was done first. This makes things a little faster and thorough they are very professional. They explain everything.Whatever routine is great. I like it here.

My insurance paid for it but personally I feel like they're very overpriced but the work that they've done was very nice
I know it does extractions. I don't know about dentures.
