Worst.Congregation.Ever. 1 star for them. Felt sorry for the priest who asked everyone to stay until the end for a good 10" even citing its crowded parking lot and the fact they had a guest priest. The last song was: Go Make A Difference in the World. A hundred people started pouring out of the pews and into the aisle at the first verse including the people in my row as we were singing. As they would pass..I would ask them why they were "making a difference" now..when there were 3 more verses? I was sitting next to the line of people going out the side door which was a total distraction to worship telling them to "Hurry and Make a Difference!!"!! Some would ditch after communion. They were trying to be the first out of the parking lot. We wondered why the priest gave the announcements at the beginning so now answered. The most disrespectful congregation I have ever come across! A review even said that he knows to keep the sermon short!? These people must think just showing up gets them into heaven rather than disrespecting our Lord and those worshipping around you does not. It was our first visit but probably wont be back. Some people come to worship..not beat traffic.

This is my church and I love being part of this congregation. Friendly people. Warm people. Dedicated people.

What a great Church and Fr. Jan is the bomb. I usually do the 7am Mass, arriving on the Harley from Pine Island, take in the inspirational words and head out for a peaceful DeSoto County ride. Wish they would keep the service at 7am all year long. No biggie, I'll make it work. God bless.

I recently moved to the area and joined St. Therese. It is an active parish and most welcoming with many social groups. I especially enjoy Fr. Tom's weekly sermons , as he is a very personable and caring priest.
