Below average service but probably even worse customer service. Argumentative even to the point where they call a couple days after resolving a customer service issue to continue an argument. Specifically, my car was being told it was being worked on in the early morning when I called. While trying to get logistics figured out to drive to work, we drove by and saw the car in the same spot an hour after calling untouched. The African American male at the desk was attentive, however was unaware of the miscommunication. We attempted to resolve the issue with him as he apologized and gave us a $15 discount. Instead of leaving it at that, someone else calls days later to continue an arguement with out accountability or an apology. The bad review wasn’t necessary until we reached this point. Forked River Mavis has far superior and considerate customer service.

The Barnegat location is wonderful!!!! I walked in and was greeted with a nice “Good Morning “ by Dylan. He asked how he could help me, I told him I just noticed I drove over a screw and I was on the clock between seeing patients. He took my car immediately and I was back on the road in 15min. The service was amazing!!!!! I can’t thank Dylan enough for going above and beyond to help me get back to work so fast.

I’ve been going to this store for years even before it was Mavis. The store in barnegat NJ has gone down hill. I called Thursday for a simple oil change for Saturday, I dropped it off and they didn’t even reach out to me about it. I called Sunday morning to see if it was done and they said it’s next in line. I called again in the afternoon and they still hadn’t done the oil change. After I called for a 3rd time to see when it would be done they told me 4pm, when I arrived they checked on the car and I watched the guy pull it up to start the service and for the guy to tell me it would be done in 10 minutes. I just took my car and left at that point. When I got home I realized there were scratches all over the trunk of my car as if someone put something on it or leaned on it with keys or zippers etc. I called the customer service line and they only offered me $35 voucher for the wasted time and damage. Not even enough to pay for the oil change. I will not be back and I will be telling other friends and family to not go back either.

Crystal and everyone at the Mavis in Barnegat are always very pleasant and strive to accommodate their customers in every way. Even on a hot summer day when it’s 105 out and I’d say 120 in the shop, the guys work very hard to complete your auto service as safe and quickly as possible. I feel it’s important to let them all know there is someone that truly “gets it” when you have to work in all kinds of temperatures. I appreciate you all very much and your kindness keeps me coming back again and again. It’s not just another “quick fix” auto service shop. I walk in and they already know my name. That all being said thank you all for all that you do for your customers.
