Went with family. We're all Uruguayan. The meat was burnt. The food was mediocre. There are way better restaurants in Jackson heights. The bakery is its only saving grace. We did tell them about the meat and they said that's how it comes out. So the service was below average. And the high bill did not reflect the food. You can pay half as much elsewhere and get way better Uruguayan food. They even charge you a tip beforehand even though the serive was horrendous for a large party. All in all, I won't be going there ever again.

I had a few drinks here with my wife. Very cool. Decoration is authentic. We didn't eat but we looked at the menu and the food they brought out for people looked and smelled delicious. Oh and everyone sang happy birthday

This bakery is a really nice feel to it. They have Great Sweet! I really like the flan cake. I also enjoy the tres leches cake. This bakery has been here for a long time and I can understand why. Unfortunately it's only a cash establishment so you better have your cash on you.

There's nothing better than a soft buttery factura for breakfast, and La Gran Uruguaya does it the best.
