Poor customer service and follow through. Had a shipment there for 12 days for them to finally call me and say they could not deliver to my home and I had to pick up 2000+ lbs of freight myself between 6-10am or 4-10pm. Never had issues with any other trucking company. So I will be driving and hour round trip, then wait to get loaded and unload and repeat because I only have a small trailer that is only rated for 1500lbs.

Beware! They have given us 3 different dates and times but still no delivery. We have been told our package is too big and wouldn't fit on the truck with the other deliveries. I had to call asking where they were each day as well since they didn't notify me. I am now working with corporate who has been very apologetic but after being promised by noon today still not here. Not a great way to run a business.

I have always had problems with Saia so I never use them. With that said I have instructed my suppliers not to use them. But things happen and the other day a long waited shipment arrived and it was loaded so poorly that I could not unload it. I instructed the driver to take it back and reload it so I could unload it. I tried calling the Tampa terminal to schedule a delivery of the load, no one answered. I called the national number so they would have the Tampa terminal call me. They did not! My boss who had the tracking number found out the load was rejected. Apparently the driver lied. This truck line is inept, uncaring to clients, and untruthful We got the load but we hired a 3rd party delivery company and Saia was not helpful in transferring the load to them

LTL stands for “Less Than Load” and is used for the transportation of small freight or when freight doesn’t require the use of an entire trailer.
Best time is around 8 in the morning. Or after 3 in the afternoon. Part of the day there is limited staff as dock workers and drivers are gone.
