I don't think I'm ever going to go back. The course is nice and it is fun to play. At 10 am it was $35 so it's a fair price. The negative things are The hot dog and chips were not good. So they don't allow coolers which I get, but the other places I golf will provide you with a cooler attached to the golf cart or allow you to bring your own cooler (since it's summer in Florida). Also it looks like they have a spot for a cooler on the golf cart but they took them off. So they force you to rent one from them that was originally attached to the golf cart (hahaha) . They don't have any concessions after you leave the club house they do have 5 gallon water containers but it taste weird ( it reminded me of hose water) it was off-putting. They did have a drink cart. ( they were nice) but after the ninth I didn't see them again. The last thing is the person you have to see to start your round was rude, and confrontation which is not the best look since your the face of River Club. I am hard of hearing and apparently he said something to me and I didn't respond which upset him very much ( I didn't know this but was told by someone in my group). He was also rude to everyone in our group. I get sometimes people have a bad day, but it just really started off the day with a sour taste. It is a shame because it was a fun course but there so many other options in Sarasota/ Manatee county. I don't know if this helpful but if you go you'll have a good time golfing but be prepared food and drink wise and hopefully you get better customer service.

So June 4th, we had a surprise West Point Graduation golf outing / party for my son 2nd Lt. Vincent Kasholo. Barb and her Daughter were amazing handling all the preparation, food, drinks etc. They did an amazing job handling all the guests that showed up, to make for an awesome party! Thanks to the River Club and staff for helping make this a success!

They have done a lot of work on the greens and the course is looking good. They stay fairly busy here. Check it out for yourself and I think you’ll be pleased. It is an 18 whole course, they have a restaurant and bar. Nice pro shop and teeing area as well.

Very good and challenging course.Its been under new ownership since September 2018 so a lot of improvements. The course is well maintained and looks better every time I go out .There is a beverage cart circling the course with plenty of refreshing options for a hot day: from sodas and Gatorades to domestic and imported beers to a few options of excellent mixed drinks. The restaurant offers a good variety of tasty food, with lots of specials throughout the week, wonderful customer service and the full liquor bar.
