Beginning my day at CrossFit The Rack sets me up for the best day possible. CFTR personalizes their coaching and the workouts to each member’s level of fitness and goals. Each member gets individualized attention while still enjoying the community of a group setting. The variety of class times offered work with any schedule whether you are commuting into the city, raising a young family, working from home or like to burn off steam after a stressful day. As a ‘master’ athlete, my goal is to keep my mind and body strong to help me age gracefully. At CFTR, the coaches work with me on whole-body health such as agility, strength and overall fitness, as well as nutrition. To top it off, the facility is clean and well equipped. Just show up with a good attitude and they take care of the rest.

CrossFit the Rack is an excellent facility with one of the friendliest CrossFit communities that I have ever been to. All the coaches and members are very personable and have positive and encouraging attitudes that make working out at this gym a pleasure. The coaches are mindful of your fitness level and will provide feedback and tailor any of the workouts to help you perform your best and achieve your fitness goals. If you live in the area or are just visiting, I recommend dropping in for a good workout with good people.

This is by far the best CrossFit gym in the Bergen County area for a number of reasons but primarily because the instructors actually care that you perform the olympic barbell lifts and all of the other exercises correctly. In addition I’ve made some friends in a short period of time. Everyone is welcoming and encouraging and all of the instructors top notch especially Kendra and Dmitry two of the main instructors. They both were able to help me increase my flexibility with my back and front squats. When I started a few months ago I could barely get to parallel. This is a family friendly environment where you can accomplish all of your fitness goals. I for one look forward to hitting PR’s in my back and front squats, deadlift and bench press at this amazing facility.

If you’re looking for a place that is both welcoming and challenges you to be the fittest version of yourself, look no further. What makes CFTR special is that every fellow athlete I’ve met here comes with a different story, skill level, or goal. If you’ve always wanted to do a pull-up, run a marathon, lose body fat, build muscle, increase your Olympic lift PRs there is no end to the amount of support you’ll find here. The CFTR coaches emphasize form and technique above rankings on the leaderboard and are able to cater the daily programming so that everyone comes out feeling accomplished. Whether you’re new to CrossFit or a veteran, you will find a place here. And likely find yourself coming back every day after :)

It’s usually a rather eclectic mix including pop, hip hop, country, top 40, rock, classic rock and even some mash ups recently. Does that help answer your question?
