Excellent experience at Gambrel during a visit to the area to see friends. The homemade bolognese sauce was very tasty, but the steaks we had the next night were the real highlight - wagyu ribeye, wagyu NY strip, and dry aged ribeye. They were all delicious - some of the best steaks we've ever had and far better than anything we've been able to purchase at other butcher shops in the past. Ben was very welcoming and knowledgeable - it was a great experience visiting his store!

Ben’s selection is top shelf, and has especially great grass fed and heritage options. He makes his own sausage and they are the best you can find on the peninsula. He is friendly, no nonsense and super helpful with selecting and suggesting meat. I miss going into the shop and chatting with him but I’m looking forward to getting back to that after COVID. He’s especially nice to our kids. He is a true connoisseur and gourmet. I’m so grateful to have his shop in RWC.
