Avoid using UPS (#UPS) at all costs!! Poor, awful service!! I shipped about $100 of local coffee and Duff's Chicken Wings Sauces from WEST SENECA, NY on Monday 11/29. As of today, no show...I looked up my tracking number: "The package has been damaged. All merchandise has been discarded and the sender will be notified." Location was: Hodgkins, IL. I have not been notified yet. I called the store in UPS store in WEST SENECA, they said they would call UPS central. They called back and said the package was not protected appropriately so they would not reimburse me. I told the girl..."I gave you the box, you sealed it up and you never said that it was not packaged well enough! As a matter of fact you reviewed the $100 claim limit with me!". She said call UPS central to file a claim. I did, UPS Central stated they needed the local West Seneca store to work with them to file a claim. They could not proceed without the feedback from West Seneca UPS. So I called West Seneca UPS again, told them what UPS Central said...the nice West Seneca lady said she has to reach out to her Area Manager and will call me back........ WHAT A MESS! Update: West Seneca UPS called me back stating UPS Central will not accept creating a claim. The independently owned local West Seneca store will not accepted responsibilty either. They did not tell me that boxes containing "food items" are not covered under the $100 default claim amount. The West Seneca store rep was supposed to tell me this, but did not. But it was "listed" in the fine print of the terms and conditions. Which I am sure you all read every time you go to send a package. I am out $130. Don't use UPS (#UPS) at all costs!!
