We arrived at North Slope shortly before 7 p.m. on a Friday night. Although there was seating available, it was near where the evening's live band was to play. So we opted to sit outside, which was far enough away from a somewhat busy road, so there was minimal distraction. The live music was appropriate, a mixture of soul and blues, and not too loud as to prohibit conversation. I ordered the brisket egg rolls, which was a very good appetizer, filled with enough meat and melted cheese. The loaded mac and cheese with pulled pork was a bit disappointing. Although the pork was very tasty, the Mac and cheese was extremely bland, so although I had the texture, all I could taste was the pork. The NS Signature Burger was cooked as ordered, but the bourbon sauce was also a bit bland, and the potato chips were overdone. I would be remiss if I didn't mention our lovely server Makenzie, who was quite pleasant, had an infectious smile, and always made sure we had everything we asked for. The atmosphere was nice, but, other than the appetizers, the food could have been better.

Went today for a Bridal Shower and it was so awesome. Chef Shane and his team put out a great spread of food, and the mimosas were really yummy with fresh orange pulp! I’ve heard so many good things about the place and am sad I haven’t been sooner! Yum!

One of our very favorite places to unwind and enjoy amazing food. My problem with northslope is the bar for amazing flavor profiles has been set so high we do not enjoy other restaurants now. My all time favorite menu item are their sweet potato fries. Second are the cheese steak egg rolls that are served with a sauce that tastes like Nirvana. The tacos, my fav are shrimp, are perfection. The locally grown beef burgers always cooked to temp and do not even ask me about the brunch that will change your weekends. Also worth mentioning the, sorry for dating myself, cheers environment, when you walk in the welcome mat is embracing and staff knows your drink preferable etc. Lastly, if you want a nice night out check out their trivia night on Wednesday. Prizes are generous and so much fun!
