If your business is unique, your mall kiosk should reflect this. Customized kiosks can increase your drop in traffic. Every mall has their own specs and criteria for mall kiosk design, so you first need to make sure the design complies with their requirements. Make sure you go with a firm that clearly communicates your final design and provides detailed plans for your approval before starting your build. The last thing you want is a finished mall kiosk you cannot have installed because it won't conform to the shopping mall standards. We always offer a free design review and consultation to make sure you get the right custom kiosk designed.
Here is a basic checklist for first-time mall kiosk owners: Be sure to include the following: • Electrical hookups (and the required wattage) • Gas • Water systems and drainage • Garbage/waste disposal • On-site storage space (including refrigeration for perishable items, secure storage for inventory and equipment, etc.) • Insurance • Contact the local municipal and county governments to learn which laws and regulations apply to you. • Contact the local fire department to learn which regulations apply to you. • Contact the local health department to learn which regulations apply to you. • Read the mall requirements carefully. Find the answers to anything you don’t understand. We strongly recommend you consult a lawyer. • Make sure the design, dimensions, and appearance of your kiosk will fit the mall’s criteria.
This is handled by our master technicians. All mall kiosks, store fixtures, and POP displays are fully assembled, cleaned, and tested at our facility. You’re welcome to inspect it yourself at this point. We plug it in and test the lights, audio/visual equipment, electrical outlets and other components. Then we assign a crew to disassemble the units and pack all the parts for shipping. To ensure accountability, this same crew will unpack and install the units. We always deliver on time, and install in one night. The entire production cycle, from your acceptance of the preliminary design to the installation of your mall kiosk, takes four to six weeks. Under special circumstances, we may be able to expedite the process for a faster completion. Be sure and contact us well in advance of your mall lease date, so we can find the mall kiosk solution that will minimize your costs, maximize your sales, and enable you to open your business on time.
All kiosks are designed to maximize your sales potential and follow mall criteria. The first step is a consultation. You’ll tell us what you need and how you would like your customized fixtures to look. Much of the design of a mall kiosk is specified by the mall; we’ll determine the best solution that meets your requirements and the mall criteria. We’ll work directly with the mall, and advise you on different options involving dimensions, materials used, and color and appearance. In the end we’ll come up with a written blueprint, and quote you a price. If you’re satisfied with the offering, you’ll make an initial deposit and we’ll produce line drawings with color rendering for your approval. At this point, we’ll also submit the design to the mall for approval. Our experience with many particular malls enables us to gain quick approval in most cases. Once the mall approves the design, we’ll submit it to the city.
