Clean and good for camping for one whole day , few things to mention- one car parking is free and additional cars are chargeable-10 dollar per day . Bathrooms are clean , sufficient waters are present .. quiet hours are from 10 pm to 6 am thatβs kind of annoying. Specially with kids and bigger groups itβs not possible to be quiet completely before 12 so quiet hours should be changed atleast reduce the night time . Other wise all are good ππΌ

It is a really lovely place and there are a lot of great things about it, however the campsites are so close together that it ruins the whole point of camping. I honestly just wanted to sit around a fire and listen to music, but I couldnβt do that because I didnβt want to be rude to the people nearby. This would be a great place to go if you are older, but would not recommend for anyone who wants to actually camp.

We were scheduled to go to Samuel p Taylor Campground by Lagunitas, with beautiful Redwood trees. And 9 Days before, got notice .. due to water shortage ... no showers !! My Husband says No Way !!! So frantically, looked for another Campground. Fortunately, Henry Cowell Campground happened to have 1 Campsite available !!!! Always love this place . They keep bathrooms n showers clean DAILY .. hosing down the floors n toilets n papers well supplied. Not all Campgrounds are created Equal !!! The park Rangers n the Camp Host keeps this park quiet n orderly. The Camp Host always rides around checking. The park is close to Santa Cruz beaches 10 min ... For a nice stroll. 20 or more min to Davenport ... Wadell Beach ... Lesser people n crowd .. keeping ourselves safe during the Pandemic. Wind Surfers are always nice to watch. N last year, we stayed and had lunch on the beach n took a nice stroll with my Hubby n just relax. And we decided, to watch the Sunset. We drove to town n grabbed Chinese food fr Panda Express. Drove back ... Had Sunset Dinner with Wine. Beautiful Sunset π₯° This year, after hrs on the Beach, my Hubby wanted Seafood dinner at Moss Landing at Phil's. Delicious Dinner Worth the Drive .. 30 min

The camp grounds were well maintained. No fires allowed this trip, with the drought and all the fires already going on. The bathrooms are tolerably close, even though it's a bit of a walk when it comes to late night bathroom breaks. Would definitely go again.

I think we paid $30 or $35 a night. All fees are on the reservation website. π
No it free
no secluded spots. You are near other campers.
There are water spigots at almost every other campsite....not sure if they are considered 'rv water-fill' lol. But, it is potable water. π I would check with the ranger station, call them directly.
Yes, Loch Lomond in Ben Lomond is very nearby. $8 to park, must have your Ca. fishing lincense. It's a beautiful lake, water level was a little low but still great fishing. π Also, you can fish at Santa Cruz pier.
A loud dog should be kept at home. :) Well behaved and trained owners and pets are allowed. Check the campsite posted rules for specifics.
I don't believe so.
Yeah I saw at least one biker camp site near the entrance. I think it may be first come first serve but I'm not sure about that. Best to call ahead.
Not that I have ever seen, but I haven't been looking for them either. I have been camping there since I was a child so I feel like I would have noticed though. I'm sorry.
There is a day use area, but, if you show up early and there is a cancelation you might get a spot. I don't recommend this because you probably won't get a spot. This campground is very popular. Also, you risk getting a small site that may not be big enough for your tent.
Day use area is closed at sunset. Check out time for the campground itself is 11am or noon π€. Quiet time in your campsite is 10pm.
I'm from Utah and made a reservation. When I got there, they were all booked... glad I had my reservation. Nice place to stay.
The beach is less than 10 miles away. If you bring the dogs camping I would keep them very close. We do have coyotes and mountain lions.
No I don't think so.
Probably in Felton Ca.
It's a state park. The camp sites might accomodate some rv's. You could call and ask.
