The food is the best in town but be forewarned that they run out of food early and you will have to wait at least 30-45 minutes. After many long line waits and failed attempts to get the food I wanted because it sold out, I gave up on them about a year ago. But last week I saw they had Santa Fe Chowder and knew they were trying to have enough food to last the day. I had just received a cancer diagnosis and thought, what the hell, I’m going to go down there and get some soup and Mac n cheese. I got down there at 2:30, waited in line for 25 minutes only to have the guy in front of me buy the last of the Santa Fe Chowder. And, it turned out all the Mac n cheese was gone as well. I’m happy for all those of you who are willing to wait it out but I’m not one of you any more. Life is too short.

The food is very good and the price is right. I ate the veggie mango Curry over rice, which is vegan. It was really good. I also picked up a couple cookies which were very sweet. CASH AND CHECK ONLY! I wish I knew that cards are not accepted. The decor inside is not grateful dead stuff. It's more like a trip. Toys and unique stuff everywhere.

If it's served here, it's good. How I miss the fresh cheese scones while they're temporarily closed due to the pandemic. Once they reopen, I'll remember the tough decision they made to stay closed throughout 'soup season' for the safety of their customers and have lunch here more frequently, even if it requires waiting in line as has been known to happen. The decor is also delightful with a friendly staff and so many healthy vegetarian options.

Grateful Bread is one of our favorite places ever. Any combo of mac and soup are awesome. Personal and public favs are Chipotle Mac and Moroccan Tomato soup. Worth the wait!
