to make it five stars You must consider the history of the place and the location at the crossroads of Sonoma and Mendocino county.. as you just begin your journey at 128 to Mendocino and the coast.. so there is a romance factor as well as n historic consideration.. what happens inside the restaurant will be variable in terms of food and service on any given day like any other restaurant but you can't help but realize the reason for its existence after all these years

Great Place!!! Every 3 weeks we need to travel to San Francisco the only thing that makes it bearable is our stops here on the way and then home. It's consistently delicious. My favorite is the pulled pork plate with a side of coleslaw and sweet potatoe fries. The coleslaw is freshly made and it's the best I've had. Service is great too! We like all the wait help, but Nancy is our favorite, she's been there since we've started our visits. Everyone is very nice.

We really wanted to love this place...pass it a lot on the way inland. The girl who waited on us was pleasant and attentive. The food was not impressive though. Burger was plain and overcooked. The pulled pork did not taste smoked at all and the portion was very small. I liked my sweet potato fries. I know they have been doing their thing for a long time, but we used to live in Missouri and are used to legit Q...this is not it...maybe we didn't try the right things. Sorry.

This is our second time eating at the ranch and it was fantastic. My burger was juicy and flavorful and my wife had the pulled chicken sandwich and it was also great. Young lady that serviced was fantastic. She was very kind to our dog. If you’re in the area you need to eat at the hamburger ranch

Breakfast should be served from 7 to 11 am. At least last I checked.
I would go old school and mail a letter to them for best results
