I honestly don’t recommend anyone to go to YMCA. I was going to Rahway facility to use the pool and I found the water a little cold in many occasions. I was waiting to see if this was fixed, but it wasn’t. They mention a temperature pool in their website, but they don’t keep it at that temperature. I also notified the staff members about this, but I didn’t see a change. That’s why I decided to cancel my membership at that moment. So one day i called and I was directed to the YMCA director Leonardo from Elizabeth facility to cancel my membership, and it was not easy to speak with him. He was unprofessional. He told me that I would need to come to the facility to sign a paper and that I would be charged an extra month. I asked him, “how can you charge me an extra month if I am not happy with the service at YMCA??? I don’t want to come back.” His answer was “ I am sorry that’s the rule.” I was hoping he would understand my situation and let me cancel my membership. I felt I was forced to pay an extra month for a service I didn’t like. Can you guys believe it?? Unprofessional customer service.

Eliz YMCA 135 Madison Ave is prejudice. 1 must be in the director's click or brown noise her and her chosen few. Those, Director nor chosen, listen to opposing statements. Although the Elizabeth Branch does not have a pool, members have access to the pools at the Rahway Branch and Five Points (Union) Branch of The Gateway Family YMCA as well as the Nationwide Membership benefit.
