Very off the grid picnic and camping area.

18 rustic campsites with some being walk-ins. One group campsite with a new structure being built. (see photo). The CCC Camp Monument reminds visitors about how the park came about. Other activities are just outside the park in the surrounding Rothrock State Forest. They include horseback riding, hiking and mountain biking.

Depending on what you are looking for, this place may or may not be for you. It is certainly secluded and rustic but the grounds need some love. The lake is pretty well dried up and I’m not a fan of the pit toilets. The bugs were unbearable. Some of the tent sites had nice flat pads. I felt very isolated and alone here just not my cup of tea.
