I wasn't planning on eating in Petaluma, I was only there to see a man about a tractor, a John Deere tractor. Although I wasn't paying much attention to the surroundings as I drove up Petaluma Blvd but MAN-O-MAN did I pick up on the sweet aroma of pork ribs coming from the grill at Lombardi's...I had to stop! And I'm glad I did, the food was amazing and well worth a two hour drive.

My friend brought me here to get an early dinner meal on Sunday. The place was busy. The staff people were nice. There was a line to put in my order, which went pretty quick, and waited a little longer at another line to pay for my order, and then waited a few more minutes to pick up my order while they heated up the beans. I brought the bag of food outside and sat at one of the available picnic tables with red umbrellas. I was impressed by the full container of salad that came with the baby back ribs dinner that I ordered. I was pretty hungry at that point after hanging out by the river all afternoon. The full rack of ribs were meaty and came off the bones easily. I inhaled half of the rack in minutes. It was tasty with black pepper and smoky. The potato salad was good, and I really like the sweetness of the beans. A perfect BBQ meal in a casual outdoor setting.

We really enjoyed the spicy pasta salad, BBQ salmon sandwich and Reuben sandwich. Good selection of takeout salads and sandwiches. The BBQ smelled great, but we didn't order it. They're doing a very brisk business around 4pm. Wonderful outdoor picnic tables. Just a delightful find on today's drive through Petaluma.

Automatic 5/5 for me. They have the best outdoor bbq in Petaluma AND to top it off, homemade desserts! Come on a hot day and enjoy the outdoor beach seating. I’m coming back soon!
