My neighborhood bar. Nice selection of beers but IPA heavy; friendly, knowledgeable staff; great group of regulars; good prices; cheap games. Get the app for the jukebox. Always a good time at the Hilltop. No food served, but there are great options nearby you can eat inside.

Had to downgrade from 5 to 2 stars. Mary and/or Maria are great bartenders. I recommend nights when one or both of them are there. Any other bartender, forget it! Service is terrible.

From walking in on this second trip here just to see if things would be better, it wasn't. The bar keep waited on five other before even making eye contact and when I was approached I received a silent stare. Wow! Hospitality in this place and Sacramento... WoW. I'm not budging. Great dive bar in East Sac. Lots of games and a great draft beer selection. Enjoy the outdoor seating area behind the bar during COVID - just make sure to bring your own food!
