I remember coming here when I was a kid camping trip with school I'm 38 now but I had the time of my life when I was there as a kid those memories will live forever. I'm happy I found this place on Google

Many moons ago, as a Boy Scout myself, I had the pleasure of sharing the Cherry Cove campsite experience for a week at a time with my younger brother, also a former Boy Scout. It was in the late 80's, and we visited there for three years in a row. The staff was outstanding, not only ensuring our safety and helping to constantly account for each one of us, but they had also been thoroughly trained and had an exceptional amount of experience in their given fields. Now that I'm also a Navy and Army veteran, I often reflect back on those memories and realize just how valuable the lessons are that I learned back then, which also helped a lot in each of the branches of service I was in. As far as the nature side of it, I still remember seeing some deer and other wildlife venture, curiously yet cautiously, into our campsite, which always instilled a deeper sense of respect for life. Memories like those are the ones I hope I will never forget.

Great Boy Scout camp that I went to with my son for cub Scouts. The staff here is exceptionally helpful and cheerful. The energy they give off even affected my "cool" 9 year old. The food here is hearty and flavorful and quite filling. Definitely one of the best "camp foods" that I've had. Activities are varied and help a budding Scout on his way to self discovery and service.

Hi Holly, I don't believe you can pitch a tent in Cherry Valley. Although, they have several campgrounds on the island. My husband and I take our boat over to the island and camp out on it. We love to fish. =) I'm an animal lover myself and my dog goes about everywhere I go. They do allow dogs at the Isthmus camp grounds. To be on the safe side, I would confirm this. Here is a link for more info. https://www.visitcatalinaisland.com Have fun! We always do.
Best signal is at the Waterfront. Put your phone on plane mode while in the valley or you'll waste your juice looking for signals. As we tell our Scout staff, turn it off and enjoy the peace and quiet.
Less than 25 people it's a camp for children, they come for two days then another group for two days. Usually groups of 100 + kids and an average of 30 + chaperone's.
