My friends and I really needed a place to just rest and relax after an obviously quite stressful year and a half. The place was absolutely a perfect stay if you want to relax and unwind. Between bathing and hiking, cooking with friends, reading a book or playing card games, and just being social without masks on all the time was exactly what we needed.

Pembroke Springs is everything you would expect from an top-notch bed and breakfast. The inkeeper, Lisa, knows hospitality like no other. The facility is very clean, with several different options for families and couples. The best part are the Japanese soaking baths in the bottom floor. Reserved by room, it is an amazing retreat for your body and mind. The room decor varies from American to fully Japanese, which provides folks with a lot of options. Breakfast is always just what you wanted! Even though they have done an American option in the past, the homestlye Japanese breakfast is superb and something that shouldn't be missed. The dining room is peaceful in the morning after a long soak or walk in the woods. Bring your tennis rackets for the afternoons; they have a nice court. Other dining options are available on the weekends; otherwise bringing a cooler with some lunch treats is advised. Additionally, there are some decent dinner options within 30 min. If you are looking for a unique experience with an amazing family then this is the right choice for you. Not suggested for business travelers or the nature phobic kind. Relax here in a an environment that reveres nature and her people.

We loooooved our stay with the courteous Floyd at the best B&B + authentic Japanese hot bath experience. The spring bath was absolutely worthy for the 6-hour driving (even the “driver” says so)! Great choice for relaxing and reconnecting with your family and loved ones. Their traditional Japanese style breakfast was my favorite!

Lisa and her family were so accommodating and inviting! My boyfriend and I enjoyed our stay from start to finish - we didn't want to leave! Pembroke Springs is the perfect place to disconnect and get away for some rest and relaxation. The food - breakfast, lunch and dinner - was nothing short of delicious. My personal favorite were the traditional Japanese breakfasts! The hot baths were the perfect start and end to the day with an amazing view of the mountains and field. They even have massage therapists come if you request a massage, which we definitely did. We loved everything during our stay including the little things like the treats Lisa would make and leave out for us and the comfortable Japanese robes that I stayed in every chance that I got! My boyfriend even wanted to take his home with us! The bedroom was calming and comfortable and had a door that led out to a balcony with a beautiful view of the mountains. For those who like nature walks, there is plenty to see and trails to walk on on the property. Make sure to stop by the Healing Springs and drink some delicious spring water! We will definitely be back for another relaxing weekend in the near future. Thanks again Lisa and family!
