Four stars for great customer service! We skipped the tour but tasted three kinds of spirits : rye& bourbon along fine chocolates and maple syrup . We picked some souvenirs and enjoyed conversations with a knowledgeable mixologist.Right across is a tap roomThank you!

I can’t say enough good things about this place. First off, the whiskey is delicious! If you haven’t tried it, you should. The distillery is nice/clean and the people who work there are awesome. My husband and I love Smooth Ambler bourbon so we planned a trip to WV specifically to visit here. Unfortunately, they had an unexpected circumstance and temporarily closed the day before we arrived. When I reached out, they immediately responded saying they could do a private tour for us. Arri was a great tour guide and very personable! We’re so happy with our experience with Smooth Ambler! Great whiskey and great people!

Yes, this is true.
Yes, we are! Dogs are welcome in the Tasting Room and Visitor center, but unfortunately because if quality control standards are not permitted in the production facility. Bring Fido!
We had lots of regular drinkers that said it was too high proof. So, we reduced it to 92 and reduced the price. 100 proof will not come back but we are working on a cask strength Contradiction!

We distill various whiskies in-house, but we also have sourced older merchant bottled spirits, for sale under the Old Scout label.
