House Mountain Inn was an obvious choice for our daughter’s wedding on June 18, 2022. As a much-inclusive venue, it offered an idyllic setting, superior amenities, luxury rooms for the big bridal party, with fantastic food and service. And, there’s something to be said to leaving all your cares and worries in the hands of professionals, like our wedding planner Jamie, who know the venue inside and out. This proved critical when we had to contend with a violent storm shortly before the rehearsal dinner at the venue the evening before the wedding. There were trees and branches toppled all across the roads, which had brought down power and telephone cables. The rehearsal dinner set up under the pavilion had been ravaged by severe winds, but Jamie and her wonderful staff had everything put back together for our dinner. With the power out until a couple of hours before the actual wedding, Jamie and her staff were well prepared with the aid of a generator to keep things running smoothly, cook meals, and even dedicate a space for the bridal party to get ready. This was a very challenging time for everyone, but Jamie and crew came through for us. At the time of the wedding, all the branches and trees had been magically cleared from the roads and our wedding guests were unaware of all the storm drama! Jamie and her staff went above and beyond to ensure the wedding was beautiful, successful, and a memorable one for sure!

We enjoyed our stay. There were lovely touches such as a complementary wine & cheese hour, breakfast, and more! The decor made it feel like home. However, when the other couple staying in our room went to the wine and cheese hour the bartender stared at them and stated “you aren’t staying here.” They felt a bit uncomfortable and didn’t really know how to react so they left. We were able to shake it off and enjoy the rest of the evening. I was very excited to take a bath in the tub upon arrival. Unfortunately there was mold in the jets. I did not bring this up to the staff to give them an opportunity to fix it. I am sure they would have if mentioned. We also had the opportunity to see Dan. He is a man of MANY talents. He was the bartender (not the one previously mentioned) at the wedding we attended and was a server for breakfast. We enjoyed his company!! Speaking of breakfast, it was INCREDIBLE. Absolutely scrumptious. So much so that I am at a loss for words on how to describe it. If staying here for a wedding, make sure you double check the wedding location. Ours was located up the hill and it was NOT walkable! Overall, it was a lovely stay. I hope to stay longer the next time I am in town!!

Great destination, service, and food! The stonewall Jackson room downstairs could use some maintenance though. The central air, fire thermostat, jacuzzi tub, and some bathroom lights all either didn't work at all or didn't work right.

My husband and I got married at Irvine Estate in October 2021, and it is truly the most magical mountain venue in Virginia. The guests could not stop asking how we found the venue and raving about the beautiful space and the mountain views. We were so happy with our entire experience including the staff (including our POC, Jamie) and the catering! Highly, highly recommend this wedding venue to others!
