What a unique lighthouse and great living reminder of what made the NJ Shore. The lighthouse is impeccably maintained by a committee of local community volunteers. The structure is complete with artifacts, maps, pictures, stories of how the lighthouse guided ships along the Jersey shore. Definitely worth a visit when in the area. We stopped here on Oct 17 because I have a thing for lighthouses. We discovered the Lighthouse Challenge was going on where you visit all the lighthouses in NJ. We didn’t have time for that, but enjoyed the tour and everything we learned.
