Caught an employee mishandling an animal, I am not pleased with her disgusting behavior towards the poor thing or me for calling her out. If I knew her name I’d have her reported immediately. Went to another shelter, don’t waste your time here, they very clearly only care about money.

Maureen and her gang do amazing work! If not for them so many lives would be left undetermined. Great rescue run by a great team! Met this lovebug they took in from a county animal control that does not have a contract with rescue! Humane CNY stepped up and took him in. Another life saved! 💜🐾

Dropped of blankets & other items for all the fur kids that need forever homes. I was very impressed on how clean beautiful it was. 😻 You can see the kitties from the lobby & what a great setup they have for them. Not in cages but own rooms or free roaming if they get alone with others. Must make an appointment to see an animal if you want to adopt. Please help all these fur kids out & keep them indoors.

Went to visit just to see the animals however they are on appointment only. So was able to see a few cats from the outside. From previous times there though the staff is normally very friendly which makes it a plus especially for people who wish to adopt cats and dogs! Additionally they remodeled the place so from the last time I saw it to now it looks a whole lot better.

Yes, they are accepting blankets.
Best to call them
You should be able to just drop off. However as much as nobody wants to hear this, we'd suggest first contacting them to see if what you want to donate is needed. Some shelters receive too many of certain items and they then have storage issues. Don't worry though. Other smaller rescues, who don't receive as many donations, would likely be thrilled to have them if HCNY is stocked at the moment. Thank you for thinking of the animals and donating! 🐾❤️
Yes
In addition to any shelter or rescue, I think the KIA Foundation would love to have donations for their Pet Thrift Store. The store is located in Eastwood.
Adopted cats fee $50 each call them for info
are there any pictures on the internet of available dogs?
This particular shelter does not have an onsite clinic to perform spay and neuters for the community. Spay and Neuter of Syracuse (SANS) on Erie Blvd is a great low cost and reliable option though. Town and Country vet down on South Salina may also be helpful. I hope that helps!
It was last weekend and I missed it because of a Wedding. 😪
You need to check with your neighbors to be sure he is actually a stray before calling the Humane CNY. Especially because he/she is friendly. They will not euthanize him though.
Yes we can. Thank you
You need to look up friends of animals. They have the certificates. There are other agencies who also offer low cost spay/neuter , including some shelters like wanderers rest in canastota.Thank you for caring enough to get her fixed.
Call them
Humanecny is great my fiance and I just adopted a cat. I feel with dogs though there aren't as many sometimes so definitely call ahead and check. I know helping hounds is really amazing my friend just adopted from there
Were is the new building?
They are comparable with their pricing. But I did get my cat there for free on black Friday one year.

Depends on the animal
No
Often there aren't puppies. I would suggest calling ahead or following them on Facebook to know when puppies are in.
List is on their website
I honestly don’t think they do for a discount, but they do fix cats
