I witnessed something at this church that won’t leave my memory. A black woman, herself a therapist, shared her grief in the full church hall surrounded by dozens, if not 100 or more church goers. What she shared was the story of her enduring sorrow and guilt that she did not pick up the phone when her father tried to call her hours before he committed suicide. She had guilt for not picking up and she wondered if her father would still be alive. The man who led the class was a paid pastor at the church. He had a despicable reaction to her. He told her in front of all that her feelings were an indication that she thought she should be able to control things that only God can control. The way he did it was not at all like a close loving friend or like someone who is showing compassion. To me, it was very postured and phony, like someone who has studied oration and canned responses, and truly, there was no pause given to weigh the seriousness of the moment, or pray for wisdom. It was all of him; there was no kindness and compassion of Jesus in those words. I have thought and prayed for her many times since then and hope she can heal and hope she can find a safe church to attend.

We were in KC for a weekend and have some friends who attend here so we joined them for Sunday morning worship. Wonderful experience...worship was heartfelt and genuine, the pastor knows and loves the word of God as he clearly presented his message from the book of Isaiah. If you live in the Kansas City area and are looking for a church home I would highly recommend Redeemer Fellowship!

I attended this “church” for 8 years, and this is also my experience: Original by: Kate H. “I went here for 2 years and it is toxic at best, and a cult at worst. I got involved in a small group and I met some nice people, but the church leadership utilizes intimidation, peer pressure, and false theology to ensure everyone remains in step. Their membership program (which you are strongly encouraged to participate in, as that's the best and most sure way for them to exert control over you) is intense and while you're made to feel like you're in a special club, they will gaslight you. If you dare to show vulnerability, they will demand they "root out the sin" in your life and come under their discipline in order for you to "heal." If you enjoy abuse of power through the guise of spiritual guidance and are a white male, become a leader here. If you want to have the Bible twisted and used as a weapon against you while leaders claim to "only want your best and God's best for you," and you have money saved up for years of therapy, then membership is for you.”

I absolutely love Redeemer Fellowship Church... they sing the kind of songs that I like to sing... they have morning service and the 5 p.m. service... they used to offer a 7 p.m. service and they finally brought it back ...at Communion they offer Bread and Wine... I did go there to a baptismal class... because I wanted to be baptized... or rather be baptized as an adult not as a baby in the Catholic Church... some of the songs I sing or so Soul touching that I cry... after service if you need prayer there are people there that will pray with you... the congregation there is quite large... apparently I'm not the only one that likes Redeemer Fellowship... they preach to a packed house...
