Nice boat launch but very busy in the summer... So glad the commission put in an extra dock for boats to park when launching and picking up.

Visited Harvey’s Lake for an afternoon/evening. The free PA fish and boat commission dock is really nice with two docks; however, the restrooms are out of order. I am only taking one star off for this because it is possible they are closed for COVID19 reasons but the signs did not cite that. It cited they were “out of order.” Are they broken and nobody is fixing them? During the middle of a hot summer season when we are all out boating every weekend and evening weekdays? If this is the case = 3 stars. Where are tax dollars and my fishing & hunting license’s dollars going? If for COVID, update your sign and I would have given you five stars because I can understand a remote situation like that just being closed and not cleaned during this time. Other parks have restrooms open. The ramp itself - this is a very gradual ramp and it seems long under water. I have a bigger boat and needed to back the rear truck wheels into the water to get the boat rear to float up. Most other docks are steep and the rear truck tires don’t have to touch the water. Either way, it’s a nice ramp and two docks are nice. Ample parking but it was a Monday afternoon/evening during our visit. Only four trucks in the parking lot. Maybe on a Saturday it could be filled but there has to be over 50+ parking spots. It appears most boats on Harvey’s lake are moored in private boat docks and would not be using this ramp nor parking here.
