Unfortunately, they cannot help with noisy neighbors who destroy your sanity all night, every night for months/years. If you get an officer who didn't hear the noise in his brief visit, nothing can be done. They say keep calling back about it - pointless if the problem persists or if you get the same officer who didn't hear the noise and/or feel the vibration. Understandable that there are limits to what an officer can do; however, one would think a city such as OP would be more technologically advanced to source the obnoxious acoustic violations that make our suburban neighborhoods feel like city slums.

I've lived in OP for ten years, haven't had to pay the police one penny. Don't do the crime, if you don't want to pay the fine! I've had three interactions with the OP police since I've lived here. They've been timely, respectful and helpful each time. I've lived in a lot of places over the years and I've never felt safer than in Overland Park and a big part of that is due to our police force. Thank you all for putting your life on the line to protect me and my family. I'm truly sorry for all the undeserved grief you get. You are loved and appreciated! Back the blue!

My experience were wonderful. Came to file police report that I needed a copy of ASAP. Officer Lowe met me on Sunday, I had to wait 2 minutes at most. Took my information, and said he will do his best to get the report to me in 24 hours. Called next day. Talked to Ms. Kim. She said that report not ready yet, Officer Lowe finished it on Sunday, but Sgt didn't sign it yet,but she will take care of it, make sure Sgt signs it, and she will even wait for me to give report to me personally. She actually stayed after work to meet me. Wow. Overland park residents should be PROUD of their Police Force. Utterly polite, friendly professional and understanding. Officer Lowe and Ms. Kim are incredible public servants. THANK YOU!!!!
