As I forgot to write a review earlier. I have seen this man Stan tune cars by ear, take carbs apart without even paying attention and put them together like it's easier than anything. I've been on a couple different trips with him to customers' houses (like myself I'm a customer too with my 1981 280zx currently waiting on my carbs to be put back together and tuned on the car with the fresh parts) You know what they say: find the oldest mofo in San diego to hook you up. I'm fairly certain this man can do anything. Straight forward man to talk to. Super cool. He has welcomed me to his shop. His shop looks exactly like my stall once did when I was building my car: a disaster so beautiful disorganized but organized in a certain way that he somehow knows where all 30,000 parts are 🤣 My recommendation? Talk to Stan first for anything carburetor related. He knows what he's doing and will most certainly get your project or daily back on the road without hesitation. MARCH 27th, 2022 Update: my 1981 Datsun 280zx has been running and driving reliably for quite some time now. It's been running the best its ever been in almost 3 years thanks to Stan. I told him "I wanted to know everything about my car" so he taught me what i needed to know. Enough for me to be able to throw a holley 390 on a 4 barrel manifold off the z store (MSA). I was able to tune my own car in front of the house and road test it. So far, she's running perfect now. No issues. I bring it by the shop sometimes for pointers and things I can potentially change and a couple things I needed to sort out. But in all, Stan is amazing at what he does. You just gotta know what you want when you speak to him.

I had my carburetor rebuilt at this place and paid &850.00 I don’t think they rebuild my carburetor they just adjusted my carbs. Don’t trust them they are bunch of of corrupt people. I just had to rebuild my carb at a different shop. I normally don’t write a review but in this case I had to do this to make everyone aware of this place.

Stan REALLY IS THE MAN... I've been in the Automotive industry my Entire life, I'm 51 years old & this gentleman embodied the Old School Style of "Service" that my father taught me. Brilliant at his craft, honest, generous & fair. If you are in need of fuel services there is Nobody Better in Town. Thank you Stan for Everything you do.

Thank you Stan! I drive a 78 Cherokee and after many trials and tribulations over the years with ignition and carburetor issues I'm elated to have found Stan. He was able to accurately diagnose issues I was having with passing smog and tuned the carb to get the truck to pass. I took the truck back after replacing a faulty distributor to have the carb recalibrated. Now my truck has more power and is running like I have always wanted her to. If you have a carbureted automobile and need some help take it to San Diego Carburetor. Once again, thank you Stan!.

John, your absolutely right. Angelo's Italian Resturant. The property was just dirt when a young Italian immigret, Joe Di'Vico purchased it. He told me he sat here and watched cattle ranchers across the street where Joan Kroc Salvation Army Center and Rolando Park neighborhood is today. He wondered about what to do with it. He called Angelo who had a restaurant downtown and asked if he wanted to move east. Angelo said yes as downtown was too crowded at that time. So Joe began construction. Eventually Angelo moved to east county because of the constant flooding of this building. It was then used by a variety of businesses including the last being Ray's Auto Upholstery. I have been here for 32 years.
